AusGroup Limited (the “Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Nesbitt to the position of General Manager, East Coast. Michael has more than 30 years of experience, the last five of which have been with AusGroup.
He has worked in the resources, oil & gas and infrastructure sectors across Australia and internationally. With a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil, Honours) and a Masters of Project Management, Michael has worked in design engineering, project engineering, project management, construction management, business development and general management.
Michael’s career has seen him successfully deliver business outcomes in the roles of Project Manager, Construction Manager, Project Director, Industry Director and Vice President Operations for corporations across the Asia Pacific region as well as EGM Integrated Services for AusGroup. Most recently as Project Director and Project Manager, Michael successfully lead and safely delivered the AGC-Meisei Joint Venture (AMJV) for the painting, insulation and fireproofing of the $20 billion Ichthys
Onshore Facilities Project in Darwin.
AusGroup Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, Shane Kimpton said, “We are excited to appoint Michael to this new role, supporting our maintenance services on the east coast. His operational and site experience together with broad knowledge of the national maintenance and construction industry will allow the Company to expand its footprint as we work towards securing new construction and maintenance work and continue to build on our existing client relationships.”
