  • During the installation of WHS Platform, the temporary fenders were left to be removed at a later stage. CAPL engaged AGC to remove a total of 8 fenders on the platform (SGS) legs, as the redundant fenders are now attracting corrosion and need removing to mitigate the risk of SGS metal loss.

    The Project Engineering Design was completed by Fugro Marine and the Onshore and Offshore Execution was awarded to AusGroup.

    As the Wheatstone platform will be in-production during this removal operation, a remotely operated cold cutting process was chosen.

    AGC engaged Blakemere to engineer and manufacture three bespoke Diamond Wire Saw Cutting tools (DWS).
